200KB limit
Compress an image to 200KB.
A 200KB cap is already set below. Add your image to see what it currently weighs, then let Filnixa compress it and confirm the result really is under the limit.
No account. Your file is read on your device and never sent to us.
The 200 KB limit is preselected. Add a pixel limit too if the form gave you one.
Why forms pick 200KB
200KB is a common middle ground: small enough to store thousands of submissions cheaply, large enough that a photo still looks reasonable.
It is roughly one twentieth of a typical phone photo, so almost every camera image needs work before it will fit.
How Filnixa gets there
Filnixa tries progressively stronger compression and keeps the best version that lands under 200KB, so you do not give away more quality than the limit requires.
If the picture is very large in pixels, it scales it down as well, without cropping, and reports the new width and height.
